I believe I have found the ultimate Cruiser adventure :D......... Mexico to Canada via. all off-road. Some of you may have heard or read about this before, there is actually a group of guys here on mud doing this in an 80 as we speak. I believe they are raising money to find a cure for Parkisons......

Here is a good article on the trip and it has a basic map of the route :

also check here: http://www.mex2can.com

So who is with me on this one :grinpimp: it would def. be the trip of a life time

I would be game if we do it on the cheap :)

Cheap isn't an option here I don't think.......

so I figure 2500 miles/ about 8miles per gallon would give us roughly 300 gallons to make the trip at say an average of 3 dollars a gallon........ it would be roughly $1000 in gas to do the trip; that is not including getting there and back :D

what we would need would be a sponsorship, how would you guys feel about riding for a cure for Diabeties :D

I am good with that, my step mom has diabetes and I would ride for any worthy cause...especially if we got sponsorship sufficient to fund the trip :)

maybe we could get some serious interest from the Juvinille Diabetes foundation ........ since I have diabetes and would be on the trip :D........ it could be a great saga story of how I conquered my diabetes and traversed the most remotes parts of the west

I'd certainly give it serious consideration but thats a lot of money for gas. We would definitely need some sponsorship for me to be in.

minor details...........

so you are in right marshall; I think a group of 3-4 of us would be perfect; it'd be a good trip for your new FJ cruiser :D

I thought this might include a lot more people. Though a small group could probably do what you are talking about.

Make me puke...lol:flipoff2:

We will take care of that for you. I think Chuck is planning on going over there this weekend and work on you brakes and mentioned something about adjusting you valves and cutting out the body rust. Sounds like a 4 hr job he said.

What happened to the trail team opportunity??

they filled the position before I even got back from Tellico :D.............. but supposedly if they do a 2nd year of the trail team they want me to come out and go thru training with them and so on............. but I am not holding my breath

Now that would be neat :)

I hate to hear that. Kim and I were both talking about how you had found the perfect gig, custom made for you!

yep, it would have been saweet for sure......... I am still keeping my fingers crossed for next year :D, although I think Mary E would leave me for sure
