The Best 100 Series Fridge Setup- 40/40 Rear Seats
I can't take credit for the idea but I might be the first to pull it off. I read a comment about it here years ago, somewhere in the Mud archives, once the seed was planted I couldn't shake it. I really don't like any of the fridge slides, drop downs, etc. They all come with compromises and...forum.ih8mud.com
I don't know if LC's are the same, but usually when an alternator goes out it's the brushes. Cheap and easy fix. You can either purchase them in the holder from Toyota, or you can get the brushes from a starter shop and solder them in.And my alternator just died, which I guess is convenient because I'm also due for a tb/wp. While I'm in there...
A friend and fellow mud member, whose mud name I don't know, recommended Sparky's Automotive to me. They are a Toyota/Lexus specialist. I just dropped my 2000 LX off tonight for a tb/wp. Way cheaper than Toyo Master and Toyo Auto. Seems to be a well-run place and using OEM and Aisin parts. I'll post up my satisfaction when I get it back. They did ask if they could have it for a few days because they are trying to squeeze me in before a trip in 2 weeks. And my alternator just died, which I guess is convenient because I'm also due for a tb/wp. I have also used Sparkys automotive. He replaced the WP and TB in our GX. He didn't mind either using the Aisin kit I bought off rockauto. They also replaced the cam seals and crank seal. Best price in town. Highly recommend.A friend and fellow mud member, whose mud name I don't know, recommended Sparky's Automotive to me. They are a Toyota/Lexus specialist. I have replaced the rubber boots on the OEM CV axles from 100 series previously, and if you can pull that off, I highly recommend it. It's a messy job, but not very difficult and you get to keep your OEM super duper CV axles. I know you are not in a position to easily work on your vehicle, but having a vice as a third hand worked well in my situation.
