Just finished replacing wheel cylinders, front calipers, and master cylinder on Dad's truck that I inherited last year.

My dad got me a laser engraver for my birthday. Have been playing around with it a little bit. Did this for my bros that were killed last year. I know its a little crooked, this is a lower that I screwed up machining. Just a test piece.

Last night I finished building a new winch mount for the trailer.

I also built this roller set to protect the end of the trailer and lift my project over the edge of the trailer when winching.

Added and engine hoist to to the kit and built a heavy duty skid to pick a half full 500 gallon propane tank for the house. I am tired of being held up by the contract tank company I have had in place.

a full 500g tank? Dang, that's like 4lbs x 500 = 2,000 lbs + 200lbs for tank = 2200 lbs . You ain't messing around Hause. Love the rollers, good job.

That's so cool, well done! Good job not making the news, too! 👍 👍 👍 👍 :)

Making the news was definitely on my mind. I worked slow and drove slow to avoid any mistakes.

I should add that I tried to buy a refurbished tank from two different companies that stood me on the delivery date. I don’t understand how they run a business this way. I opted not waste my time on them anymore and do it myself. This is how I ended up doing this job on my own.

Hopefully the company coming to install and fill it follows through. If not, it may get more interesting. 🤔

The best way to haul a full or partially full propane tank and get the D.O.T types to leave you alone is to use some stencils and paint ANHYDROUS AMMONIA on the side. Nobody wants to mess with that stuff.

Might be time for a new front axle :bang:

Can it be welded?
I'm sure it can be welded but will it be like polishing a turd? I won't know until I pull it out then inspect it closely. This is just metal fatigue which is to expected from two decades of wheeling. As a backup, I should keep an eye out for a replacement housing that I can modify/improve, then switch everything over.

when it rains, it pours. Isabelle's 3rd gen 3.4 just blew the head gasket :bang:

Any damage?
I hope not as she recognized something was wrong and parked at work quickly. I drove it yesterday, after filling the radiator with water for about one block. Radiator got pressurized something fierce. Opened up the cap, and saw volcanic eruptions and steam coming out of the exhaust pipe .

I made a few of these. I'll be giving them away. If I make it to the breakfast on Saturday I'll hand out what I have. Nothing fancy, they are fake leather, but I did add velcro to the back.
