I will always stop for a woman with kids.

I'm the other way. Two reasons. There have been a couple of news stories where women have played damsel in distress only to rob, and in one case, kill a fella that stopped to help. Plus, I got yelled at on the bike trail when I offered to help a women with a mechanical. She was offended that a fella would imply she couldn't handle it.

I always stop for dudes with shaved heads, covered in prison ink, and wearing jail clothing.
You never know -- it may be a famous actor practicing for an upcoming movie role...

Yeah, I have heard about that too. If it is just a woman and things don't look right I won't stop, but will always stop if I see kids in the car. I am a judgemental bastard too.

I have said that I will NEVER stop for a commercial semi truck and I mean it. I have a little bit of a chip on my shoulder and don't care what's happening. I would help up until 6 or so years ago when the hitch carrier on the wife's GX caught fire on I40. Every single big truck carries at least one fire extinguisher and countless trucks went by and nobody stopped to help.

Here's what I worked on tonight.
I fashioned a thin-wire, stainless steel garrote to use on the "person" who put a zip-tie around the muzzle and the neck of a German Shepherd and then abandoned the dog in Malibu, California last week. No, I'm not kidding.

Some "people" need to be out of this world.

I was given the honor of being caretaker for my best friend's truck. I have been doing small things to it the past few weeks. Today I polished the wheels. That was a chore, but they came out real nice if you stay about 12 feet away. I bought a buffer to do the paint, just waiting on cloudy day.

No. Rear diff went boom last night. Not sure what happened, looks like it has oil.
Dang old cars always needing maintenance or breaking for no good reason. It's one of the reasons I have 5 cars with only 3 drivers. I'm only down one car at the moment so I still have one spare.

Yeah, I've got a couple spares too.

I love how the parking spaces at that Trader Joes were clearly sized to only fit a Prius.

AC hooked up. I didn't take a picture before I installed the air box.

Relocated service fittings at the firewall.

Second project was modifying the elocker to fit in a front axle housing. Three modification are circled. I need to countersink one of the bolt holes because the bolt will hit the spring. Same with that little tab that I cut off. Third modification was to grind down the housing to clear the spring u-bolt. I will probably need to take off more.

Last project was to install a bump stop to limit up travel on the diff to try and keep it from contacting the exhaust crossover until I get the new axle installed. I might just leave it there.

Just finished installing a Front runner rack on the GX. Also replaced the 18 inch wheels for a set of 17 inch wheels from an 09 GX 470. Put the new Falken Wildpeak AT4W tires on it.
