Picking up Heather's 100 today while dropping off payment for my FRIDGE for the GX! woohoo!

After waiting on the cable guy all day, finally made it over to ACC to install my new oilpan. Stripped the bung last weekend and the repair plug didn't work out.

Replacing my rear shocks today - got some new Icon 2" body stage 1's. My tired old OME's are getting retired.

started the knuckle rebuild on my disk axle!!!

spent about an hour with the bead blaster just on the locking hubs dust shield

I got a tow dolly as an early Christmas present. The PO used it to carry a motorcycle, so it had a 10 foot piece of 6" channel bolted on the top. It looks like a front bumper for the 62 to me!!
I hit it with the wire wheel on the angle grinder and then some ospho.

Installed an early ChristmAs present yesterday...new Icon rear shocks! I'm getting an extra inch of flex with the new shocks (about 1.25" of extra drop).

mmmm... Icon. Nice!

Finally finished my tune up by replacing the valve cover gasket...tightened her down good in hopes that this is where the oil was leaking from....replaced the PCV valve and replaced some vaccuum hoses and tightened with hose clamps....and put on a new set of wires.....cruiser was idling to no idle on friday which I think may of had been caused by the hoses around the pcv area, I do hear some air up by the thermostat but can't locate the leak, it's idling at 500 rpms now which is 100 lower than I'd like....I think I may need a carb adjustment to up it a little...but overall feel better with all that done...now to start collecting parts for the desmog

yes, borrowed the trailer from scan source to move in a new couch so figured i'd move the axle while i was at it.

What's your connection with scan source?

Went and shot skeet and other crap with some old college friends in the 80. Glad I did as the trail where we went was rough. Also realized I have become a better shot at skeet with the dbbl 20 than the 12 auto or the pump.

i love guns beer and land cruisers.

If i could drink my beer and shoot my guns while driving my cruiser i would be happy

Got the remaining chrome off of the doors. Found some minor rust, but nothing major. Ordering some new window felts tomorrow. The more I clean this thing up, the more I think the original paint might be good enough with a real good machine polish and some touch up paint, but well see how it progresses. I for sure need to paint the replacement hood and tailgate to match, so itmay be worth painting it all anyway.

SOLD one.
Bought one.
Blew a tire out going 70... in the 88/62
Got over 333k on the 88/62 and still can easily go 85+ mph, but won't until I get new tires after the blow out...... I was told BFG was the only company selling 33x10.5x15 or even close in a 15" rim...

Bob - In my research the only thing I could find currently available are the BFG AT KO, the BFG MT KM2 (very spotty availability), the Toyo MT (Expensive), and a couple TSL Swampers
