Metal-tech front tube bumper is on the FJ. I 'd and gave the guy who purchased my old front bumper some mounting hardware that I should have kept so I have to run by the hardware store tomorrow and pick up a few nuts and bolts to finish it off. Other than that she is ready to go once I spool on the new winch line.

It was dark when I finished so I'll post pics later. Also need to install the rear bumper...

:flipoff2:

I'm going to run by the hardware store today and pick up some nuts and bolts to finish the installation, then I have to wind on my synthetic line, then I'll take pics, fool.

Slacker I know you have an Iphone with the MUD app. Just snap a pic and toss it up.

I can't post up a mafia-style installation! :hillbilly:

the Mafia would have had this done in under an hour and already have found some trees to ram and push over with our new shiney bumper :hillbilly:

I can't post up a mafia-style installation! :hillbilly:

Steve nobody in here cares if it was a half ass installation. We just want to see the bumper. This is a club section not the vendor section.:p

I took 4 hours to remove the sound deadening tar from the back (from back of back seats backwards) of the 88 62 as they had at a minimum the following: llama bile and blood, all petroleum products from a Land Cruiser possible and cleaning fluids, dog, cat, goat and human blood, goat after birth, donkey after birth, probably urine and fecal from all those species, garbage water, beer, food, hay, coins, nuts, bolts, screws and other misc. items stuck in the semi loose tar shredded cotton mixture...
ordered new shock bushings

on the 78 40, over the last few weeks I have gotten her road worthy...
installed new dampener bushings,
traced wires and bad grounds,
took apart most of the wiring harness and mapped and labeled a bunch of wires.
reinstalled a carb fan
rewired the vent fan
cleaned all light connections on gauge cluster
lubed e brake handle and carb cable
ran new wires for the license plate lights and rebuilt the lights/mount
installed the defrost tubes and main tube from the blower
adjusted the rear doors to close since bending the frame moved them off alignment
removed front doors and greased the retractors
added ground wires to the front turn signals and rewired the rear side marker grounds.. repairing cut wires along the way
reinstalled the front seat belts
cleaned and got the skid plates and splash guards ready to install
tested and rewired the winch solenoids
moved wires around the engine compartment
wrote a "to do: list
reinstalled the running boards
installed an aftermarket washer sprayer, including nozzle in the hood
installed misc. bolts on the hard top/windshield frame

in the last few weeks on the 87 60... from what I remember...I am sure there is more
tracked down a bad fuel sending unit, ordered
pulled the gas tank and cleaned all external rust and painted
installed new fuel pick up as the old one was rusted in half
installed new gas tank filler hose clamps
adjusted the clutch master, bled the clutch slave
had rear drive shaft shortened and installed
reworked the ps pump mount bracket so the belt lines up
found and repaired hose leaking off the water pump
