Just got done spending the day busting brush and trying to find interesting places to go off road, or at least trail running.
Started out my day by playing around on the beach
Then headed out to some other public areas around Northwest Iowa, including the little church I grew up in.
Found some prairies and forests that allow vehicles.

While I'm posting, might as well update on my eventful weekend. After a day out getting dirty, gave Marjan a bath and delivered the bridesmaids to the rehearsal dinner. They are all either researchers or analysts in their day jobs, so spent the time being grilled on the area, farming, what it's like to live someplace where everything is miles away and why is it that everyone we meet knows me, not by name, but by parentage "You're one of Mavis's, aren't you?" It was fun. Out of all the reactions I expected, wide eyed innocence and intense curiousity were not on the list.
