Do yourself a favor and carry cable cutter along with your 2 fire extinguisher, they will do little to nothing if the fire is electrical you need to kill the source.
I do and your right, not sure if you saw the "test run" I did before I went west and had a battery fire good thing I was aware and had a F.E in the front

The return of 401!!!:bang::bang::bang:

Won't a "Halon" extinguisher work on an electrical fire? I know they are spendy but worth it if so.

Ok so we did you

Yea it was a crazy story, I am hyper vigilant on whores and rubbing etc.

FIFY.

Not sure what you were REALLY talking about, so I made it a little more legible.

Not really Halon in not very or not effective unless a closed area and what Halon does get between the fire and material until your Halon is gone and then the fire continues. Bottom line you need to kill the source to stop an electrical fire. With the high amperage dual battery system many of use be safe and carry cable cutters and a F.E.. Keep in mind you can weld with one group 27 or 31 battery.

Yes, would that be related???

Just curious I have no data to support it but I think the oil from the PVC (10cc/1000miles) strongly contributes to the blockage + PO401. So when I did my HG I cleaned everything along with common clogged passages and installed a catch can in the hopes it would prevent it down the road.

Good to know, thank you for the explanation! The only experience i have with it is the 150lb bottles we are "trained" on in case of a aircraft engine fire.

I used to build computer rooms back in the day when computers were huge and real halon was used. When you pull the fire alarm the doors shut the air handler shut down and the room is filled. IIRC it takes 60 sec. for halon to distinguish/smoother the source. Definitely dont be breathing it.

NOPE, a oxygen displacing substance isn't a good thing to breathe!

Broke out the winch for the first time for this truck, my tires were up, we hit the tril is was pouring so I thought Ive done it before she will be fine. Ill tell you what tho the WARN 12000VRS is fast pulled her up that rock face like BUTTA and then I left the winch remote line on hood thru window and the mud grappler ate it.

Such a mean looking truck! Here's a trick to keep you from running over your remote next time, pull it "tight enough" from the control box to the drivers doors, then wrap it around the sideview mirror stalk a couple times so it can't develop any slack and then throw the remote and rest of the wire in the cab through the window. You can get in and out without any issues. :cheers:

Remote control;) for the cable routing challenged :p
