Thanks! I sure do miss driving it out and about but that salt on the roads just messes everything up so fast, after a year of doing that after I bought it, I decided to just wait winter out for clean roads.

I don't blame you. People think I'm "an ass" with my 80...... cleaning it as soon as I get home.... Top to bottom! But then again, last 2 vehicles I sold the guys didn't even want to test drive them! He said that "if I drove them, he knows for sure everything is good", 2nd guy said "anyone that keeps their garage looking like this has to have spotless trucks"! Great compliments, but with them beasts you have I would be up 24/7! Pacing and staring at them! Lol
Well, I'd like to work on them for sure, but I have to get this "little project " done first!

Very nice! One of my buddies from Muskegon Mi. does complete frame off, numbers matching, stock rebuilds. I'm originally from West Mi..... too cold.... moved to NC! Anyways he just had a Late 60's Chevelle sell for close to $160000 thru the auction. I believe Barret/Jackson or something like that! I don't know nothing but 4x's and boats! Lol
Anyways, he makes a nice living doing what he loves, and it looks like your about the same...... meticulously maintained vehicles! Good luck and keep up the great work!
Totally bone stock 70 SS454 ls5 matching numbers convertible. Everything is original style, right down to the 360 horsepower motor with no mods. Not even gasket matched ports. Makes it legal to race in this.

That's not rust, it's Canadian patina...
I lived the 4Low Life. New keys, work like a charm - new antenna installed (rubber ducky), new windshield washer squirt nozzles - AMAZING (and cheap) - should have done that years ago. Got some cool stuff in a box that says "enjoy" on the outside (time will tell). Also built a stove slide/rotate for the back of the BJ70 using my stomp shear and mini bender - and added some bling to my fridge. Of course, filmed it, edited it, and uploaded it for y'alls enjoyment (hopefully)...

I just couldn't get cars off my mind in my 3rd year of college thinking I'd be either a high school science teacher or a tornado chaser before it was "hip". I bailed and begged a restoration shop to hire me with really no experience on a resume to support my claim I could handle anything. My only real weakness was that I thought Ford muscle cars were second to none. They took a chance on me and presented me with my first project- a real, documented 70 SS454 LS6 convertible! Problem was, I hated Chevys and had no idea what I had before me. I wanted that job bad so I poured over every bit of info I could find and realized what I had the opportunity to work on. Needless to say, my bowtie appreciation grew quickly. Now, we move forward a couple of months and a coworker that did collision work on the other half of the shop said to me one day, "I don't get all the hype with that car, I have one in my barn I'm trying to sell" Holy sh*t, I'm thinking, "let's look at it". Here is one of those times you realize your wife is really awesome, cause she trusted me with a loan we pretty much couldn't afford because she could tell I knew the value of this deal. A few days later it was at our home, with much to be done to it. It has been a very long road with ups and downs, but I still have the car. While it doesn't match the ls6 for value, the ls5 vert is actually rarer, plus it is an AC car. It's tough to think of the Cruisers I could buy with this thing and still want to keep it, but my now passed father had a ton to do with it and that will always be worth more than money.
I hear ya. I got a '47 Harley Davidson ServiCar from my dad that he bought when he got back from Vietnam. Impossible to part with. I hope to leave it to my son some day.
