What are you doing??
Make me one NOW!!! fkn fantastic mate. Good welding skills
started on a bumper that has a ladder i can really use ( first step not three feet off the ground.
I looked at doing a retracting one but because the first bend of my top ladder was only 12" from the bottom, and I wanted at least 16" of extension,Had a very similar ladder drawn up for Goss' rear..(had 2 designs 1-retractable/1 folding) 43" step to top of bumper is a doozy... Good work Dave.

Hey Dave, are you going to make those as an option for the passenger side of your fj60 rear bumper? Hope you are well! Georg over at Valley Hybrids hooked me up with that 5 speed I was looking for and did a sweet job working with me.
I looked at doing a retracting one but because the first bend of my top ladder was only 12" from the bottom, and I wanted at least 16" of extension,
the retracting one wouldn't really work. Also using a "tube within a tube" style retraction meant you couldn't put any steps in the extension.
The other consideration is wear on the finish coat. If you powdercoat or paint the finish on the extension would most likely wear badly
from sliding in and out of the other tube.
