I added a new light on the tail gate to brighten up the area that gets used as the "kitchen counter" when we go camping. Light is a surface mount LED from superbrightled.com. Should make finding a beer in the cooler after dark easier.;)

What are the part numbers for the products you ordered?

The switch is just a 12v radio shack switch. The light is this one.
It's not quite a "flush mount" as there is a rectangle that protrudes about 1/4 inch below the outer rim (you can see it in the picture of the back f the light where the wires come out) so I just made a little pad for the light to sit on. That way I only needed to drill 5 holes in the tailgate (actually just in the plate that covers the electric lock actuator).

What is your plan for the removed lights?

Nice work!

They might be spoken for already but if not, I'll offer them up on MUD for free (but with a hitch - I'll pick a number [1-100] and whoever guesses it, gets it, plus postage of course, lol).

Used mine as a 'range vehicle' today - with only the driver's seat, no panels, no carpet, all door panel hardware removed, no radio, no shift knobs, no headlights. . .almost like being inside a gen1 death can.

haha imagine the poor ploice officer when he stops you for something and sees that.. stripped car, bulk guns and ammo, ready for the end of the world.. FBI is now tracking you bro

Remind me to tell you a story when I got pulled over and "....Jesus, you always carry that many weapons with you. . ." came out of the PO's mouth in the first 60 secs. Cheers. . .

Got a carpet kit off eBay to make a template out of for future kits I plan on making and wanted to make sure it was all there. Stockpiling parts is the calm before the STORM for me. HA!

This!!.... Have a load of parts coming from @beno and @orangefj45.... This will be going to the knuckle rebuild which will then allow fore new tires and hopefully that will open up enough time to do my Monstaliner paint job this summer. Also debating on putting in sound deadener or something else? Really need to have the tint redone (PO got 3/4 of the truck done, passenger side doors arent finished) and would love to build myself some sliders just for $h1t$ and giggles.

2 AR's and a box of zip locks is hardly TEOTWAWKI status, but it's a good start...

I'll be sure to grab a shot of the 3N3 GunPOD, AR/M4, and KR50 cases next time around :pig:

Happy Easter,

Placed back in service the now clean steel coolant lines that attach to the block and changed the old burst coolant hoses with fresh ones from Napa. It took a little work to cut and fit from the selection they had, but alas - new hoses on board. Cleaned up and put new hose clamps on the 3 old ones entering the firewall/heater core too.

X'd my fingers as I fired "Flower" up and found ZERO, as in NO, ZILCH leaks coming from ANY coolant lines after a thermostat rebuild a couple weeks ago. :bounce:

Added coolant per excellent "burping" instructions found here and drove "Flower" around for a while up some steep hills here in the Bothell, Wash. area. Temp gauge reads DEAD CENTER and heat is starting to eminate from the vents!!!

With another "burping" and coolant added, I feel I can start to get that heat SOOOOO longed for and SOOOOO neglected in getting. :)

James
