Is your 12ht 12 volt? Didn't know they came with single batteries.....

Yes mate single battery and 12 volt, I am actually in the process of putting in a isolator for the second battery, it did have a dual battery setup but the po did it fairly cheap and nasty.

Tied a kayak to the roof, drove to Turkey Creek, and snuck up on a gator!

Hey John

I did a double take on your post, about 160 kilometres from me we have a Turkey Creek, we have heaps of water holes like that and several fresh water crocs.

Thought I'd go for a drive and say g'day :bang:

Looks good! How do you like that fatmat? I just picked up a roll to do my 60. also what speakers are those and did you use any spacers?

J

Fatmat seems pretty good. We will see how the sound is and how the doors sound when opened and closed. I got 5 sheets and only used 2 for the doors so I will either do other doors or cargo area then buy more down the road and do the whole car. I used JVC 6.5" speakers. I think the mounting depth is 1 11/16". Fit perfect. I think if you keep the speaker mounting depth under 2" you should be ok. The wiring harness for the old stereo sucks so I ran new speaker wire and had to run new power to battery. Having to do this made me think I might as well mount my small mono amp and do a sub somewhere. Or I will pick up a multiple channel.

So do the stock grills fit over your speakers with the panels back on? Can I get a pic?

My speakers are 2 1/2" deep so I was planning on using a spacer. Would that work?

Cleaned a years worth of trail dust and crud out of the interior and installed a pair of Procar seats.

Went exploring! My full detailed trip report is in my build thread, "Bessie the chevota" and soon to include a map and even more background and links

Finally got around to building my heavy duty rear sway bar links. When I added the OME 2.5" lift, the rear swaybar was too short.

Also had to address the PO's E-fan cheap wiring since it fried the fuse. Complete Spal controller and Spal fan was in there, but they used the cheapest fuse and connectors they could find.

Will be working to clean the carpet and fix a few dents if I have the time.

Those seats are nice! Tell me about that console.

I'm really enjoying having these new seats in, my back is already feeling better after a few days with the new drivers seat mounted.

The center console came not mounted yet with my Dad's '71 IH Scout and he didn't think it looked right in it so I took it off his hands and put in my 60 a year or two ago. Its not that great in the quality department, but its held up fine so far. For the price they go for on Ebay, I wouldn't recommend it. I'd say save up for something like a Tuffy or Smittybilt. (or build something awesome like some of the guys here! :wrench:)

Its similar to this one.

Grills fit over speakers. Haven't yet tested to see if anything will vibrate on the grills. I chose a coaxial speaker which makes the tweeter stick out a little from the front of the speaker and touches the grill. A 2 1/2" speaker seems a little big. I think the overall height of mine are 2" with a top mount depth of 1 11/16. If you use a spacer you may have trouble with the grill on the door panel.

Wired up my indicator and park lights on my bullbar, been on there for over a month so I thought I'd better wire them up :)

Cut the basket off my new ARB Touring rack to make it all flat. Low profile look and the cruiser will fit in the garage now!
Also swapped tire carrier side to help offset cruiser lean and made a new ladder for the other side. Still need to attach jerry can holder to ladder. Next weekend project!

lol, man I don't think I could cut the basket off my new touring rack.
Mine fits in the garage though with an inch to spare, 33's, OME as well. If it didn't fit in their I might be singing a different tune :steer:

BTW you in FL or WA?

I like it! I like the 3rd brake light also.

wheelin62 - I like the ladder and the rear spare holder - but the sticker of the guy on the tailgate is the bomb! What is it?

Lol, it's Moab Splatman. Got it years ago when I lived near Moab. Sadly it's been covered up all these years by the spare tire. I've got a small faded one in the rear window where he's driving an off-roader.
