New brake hoses and while I was replacing rubber brake parts I figured I would put on new pedal pads. They were a last minute add in to push me into free shipping territory 😃.

I am desperately in need for such rubber pads !!

Found this nice idea to use the headrest for storage, 2 velcro bags that fit well.
Great for lighter items.

I am not sure, but I'm starting to think I have a storage obsession (OCD related maybe?) .........

Which 4runner seats did you go with? The firstgen 4runner seats are probably my favorite seat toyota ever made. especially the sr5/turbo seats. Super comfortable do they look like this?

Haha dude those are some of my favorite seats i ever sat in. Theyre better than my bougie Scheel mann seats by a lot. Hell yeah. When i got them for my 4runner i drove from memphis TN to Asheville NC and back in one day to get them on a wednesday and sat in them on the way to work thursday morning

Are the scheel mann as good as they say? I see they now come with heat standard. Was planning on getting those eventually.

Man, I dont feel like they are worth their price tag. Their price is the Instagram tax. I’d say build quality is between corbeau and entry level recaro. So like nice corbeaus? Not saying they are bad or anything, but these are $1,200 seats all day. Not 1,900.

If i was to do it again id save up longer and get Recaro Orhopeds with the powered adjustments and heated and cooled being standard. Or just get firstgen 4runner or turbo hj61 seats and have them reupholstered and add heaters.

yeah my brother has a sprinter van he put scheelman seats in and I have done long road trips in them across the country. They were ok. I was considering them for my Fj62 as anything is better then whats in them now. But I am not fully convinced on the scheel man seats being the most comfortabole as I have spent many hours in them and still was not fully comfortable. They felt a little stiff and would hit under my thigh area but in the sprinter your legs hang down so all the weight is under your thigh area. In the landcruiser they do not.

Began to clean up a set of OEM wheels I just bought. Backsides horribly baked with grime. Fronts were in good shape.
Just not sure I'm going to like these as much as my black 40 wheels and caps, though I do love stock. I am making the right move, right?
Pic of backside wheel before and after, and front face after polish. Also a pic with my current 40 wheels.

Nice job! What process did you use for the clean up?

Wire wheeled the grime first using three different wheels, then generous amounts of Zep Industrial purple (after I saw @wngrog use it with good results) and lots of rags. Front side used a sponge polisher with Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish.

They turned out looking great. I feel that chrome on a 60 is off-putting. That is just an opinion and should not sway you. I do, however dig the look of the black steelies and hub caps. I have matte black aluminum 5 stars from FN Wheels. Some probably would say they look bad on my truck. Again all have the right to their opinion. In the end, it is your rig and that is what matters!

Not to deter you, because I think your truck will look great either way, but I’ve always liked the black 40 style wheels with caps. Here’s my 60 with the oem wheels, right before I had my tires flipped so the white lettering faces out (another highly important decision).
