Was gonna do a fancy on board air setup but picked up a Viair system for really cheap. Added a 2nd battery tray and it fits neatly in a bag there. Don't even have to strap it down as the hood and bracket keep it in place when the hood is closed

Installed horn contact pin. Lost 3 of those darn little pressure locking clip washers in the process. Good thing local hardware store had extras. I have 2 extra ones now.

Might wanna grease the tip of that thing. Reduces any metallic noise when turning the wheel and might buy you some more time before needing to replace again 👍.

Yes, indeed. Well done!

Big day for peppering new parts onto this turd. Finished up a relatively lengthy project and got it running and test driven. Everything seems to be holding after a wet 10 mile test drive in the rain.

This round of shotgun parts swapping included replacing the following:
Evaporator
Expansion valve
New heater box foam and evap housing foam and deep clean
Compressor
New suction line from the compressor to the evaporator because the threads got boogered up when removing it. (The fittings are 7/8" - 14 BTW)
Receiver drier
Water pump (had to do it twice because the included gasket was not the gasket to use. IYKYK)
Both lower radiator hoses
All of the oil cooler hoses
All new OEM hose clamps for all hoses replaced
All 3 OEM belts.
Finished up radio install
Rust farmers dash bezel
Front extended sway bar links
Suction cupped a RAM mount to the windshield. I guess I'm an overlander now.

I'm going to to take it to work tomorrow and hope the AC will take a charge and hold.

I'm also contemplating getting the FJ Cruiser steelies during some kind of black Friday sale. Yay or Nay

Hey folks. I installed remote entry system today on my 62. Didn't care for alarm system, I was only after the convenience. So I followed this to the T!

I spent less than $40 on Amazon stuff and half a day and everything works perfectly. Def one of the best bang for the buck mods.

Took the car to the car wash, took a couple of hours to go through all the layers of dirt and grease. Will still need cleaning from underneath though.

Wanting to keep the stock looks, i swapped the internal lights with LED for brighter illumination (much better).

Removed old bolts carrying the spare tire, got 3 new ones and welded them. Greased & cleaned the doors and spare tire carrier.
Attempted to paint the metal and did a horrible job, should have done some research there.

Fixed broken fitting for the external lights and re-wired them.
