Installed LED headlights with DRL. I think it adds to the blacked out look.

That is the worst! I especially hate it when they promise it will be shipped by a certain day and on that day they regretfully inform you that the package will be late.I waited for parts![]()
Amen Brother!!! What's even worse is when you send something back on warranty because you have been troubleshooting for days, they confirm the part is bad, send you a new one, only to find out a second component is bad! Waiting for the shifter indicator, Tach, and door panels. All should have been here late last week or early this week. We shall see. That is the worst! Very Nice! Were you able to take advantage of the "buy 2 lockers get a free ARB dual compressor"?I finally installed my 4.88's and ARB lockers.

Sweet! I have been contemplating ARB lockers. Would I need to go with different gears or could I stay stock? PM me when you get to put them to work. I am curious how they perform.I bought the lockers last year and they weren't doing that promotion, but Kurt and crew took care of me, and I got a compressor from them.
The gears I got are the Ninja gears(they are Yukon) from Marlin It just took a long time to get them built and I finally got a chance to take the 60 to a friend shop to install them.
What sucked was my builder accidentally misplaced a key part for the rear locker the THRUST BLOCK. Took a little scrambling but Valley Hybrids @orangefj45 had one and we were able to finish the install.
When all is said and done getting parts from Kurt, Georg and Marlin is a breeze and I'm glad to support those shops.
A few weekends ago I installed a city racer Fuji carb on my 60. I set the idle and chased a vac leak and It ran better than my dirty stock carb. My 2nd new VTV arrived Saturday, so today I connected the vac lines for dizzy, evap, and advance as shown in this thread:
My Desmog Keeping HAC Lots of Pics
And did the lean drop method for tuning outlined in this thread:
First-time lean idle drop...help!
I'm at the BB at 650 RPM, 3.5 turns out on mix, and idling at 650 RPM. My truck is driving much better than before.

I even passed the paper clip test.

The next step is to figure out how to get stock carb rebuilt and dizzy recurved by the whisperer. Then it is brakes, clutch, RMS, and chopping rockers and rear quarters.
I am currently desmogging my 83 with the same carb, and I have a question. did you remove that metal pipe that runs along the top of the driver side wheel well, and if so, did you plug the rubber hose under the master cylinder?

I have been hesitant on the struts having read that some strut applications exaggerate the open position, others are tough to close and others begin to sag after a short timeframe. What is your assessment on these issues based on your install? Maybe you can provide an update on the specific strut resistance after many open-close cycles.Installed a fresh hood insulator, and did the gas strut hood swap! Super happy with both. Classic, "should have done this a long time ago" mods.

You can eyeball it pretty well by looking at the extended strut attached on one end in the factory hole. Mine opens slightly higher than with the prop-stick but so far as it could. As far as how long they last, likely many years.I have been hesitant on the struts having read that some strut applications exaggerate the open position, others are tough to close and others begin to sag after a short timeframe. It opens a hair lower than with the hood prop, and so far isn't difficult to close at all. If it does sag, I'll replace the struts. They're cheap!I have been hesitant on the struts having read that some strut applications exaggerate the open position, others are tough to close and others begin to sag after a short timeframe.
