Got around to adding Internal sleeves on the frame for the LHD steering box swap, other wise torquing it down would just bend the frame in and not allow proper Torque specs. I originally just added the 3/16 steel plate on the inside but it didn't do anything lol

Still working out some kinks in my 86 FJ60 after being parked for 17+ years. Truck was not coming up to temp and the radiator was warming up same as the engine suggesting an open thermostat. Sure enough the old thermostat was stuck wide open. Replaced with an OE part, flushed the system and refilled long life red. Had an air bubble that worked itself out after a couple cycles but gave me a fright when we almost hit red line on a test run.

Good eye👍. I'd have fixed it years ago if I could figure out it's purpose ☺️. The head broke off but other things needed attention.
My hanger took a rock like that slider did before I owned the truck. The hanger was so bent and beat up it snapped the little bolt and folded the hanger under the spring where it rubbed for at least five years before I fixed it. When we cut it off I was genuinely surprised it didn’t break in a catastrophic nightmare.

Worked on getting the old nasty carpet out and removing some of the the awfull stereo wiring. Now I need to decide what to do about the moldy seats.
All in all, it is looking better.
If new carpet is going in I would highly recommend doing some sound deadening first. I’ve done an fj60 and an fj62 with a 1HD-T recently and the results were great. Well worth the $$

Installed a kill switch. After the truck was stolen I thought it wise to at least try and slow down a thief and hopefully they will move on. The problem I saw with a standard kill switch is forgetting to turn it off. This circuit goes off when you turn the truck off and needs to be reset every time you start it.
Excellent idea! Mind posting any details on the setup?
