Gave her a polish and a wax.

I installed a set of seats from an 04 corolla. Much more support and better condition then my 60 seats were. Still need to clean them up a little-but I was to focused on getting them in!

I used the fj60 sliders and made an angle iron adapter to mate them to the corolla seats. I will probably tweak the drivers side a little in the future, it sits a little higher then I'd like.

Is the large lever on the drivers seat for highth adjustment?

Nice find. My vertically challenged wife would appreciate that feature.

Those are great! I'm gonna seek some out. They look awesome!

Too many hours today on my 60 and only slightly fulfilling. New ICS and choke cable. I recently pulled my carb and installed another carb I was given to rebuild. Since then I had issues with my choke cable... mostly thought it was age and the fact it was crazy deteriorated. I fought with the new cable and the bracket longer than I want to share... finally I got sick and tired of it making no since why if it wasn't pinched it would not bind but if it was pinched in the bracket it would bind... well the damn bracket was bent big time where I was not able to get a good sight on it. I still have my original carb tho ready for the PO to go back as a core replacement and I pulled off the bracket from it and pulled the one off the rebuilt carb and there was a huge difference in the bends. I did not get a photo of the good to the bad but I do have a few of the bad I'll add after this.

Glad you finally got it sorted.

Glad you finally got it sorted.
Me too but I am still fighting with the fing truck. She started with the nickname Badass, then I thought I'd make it nicer and call her "work in progress" but now I just wanna call her something I can't say here. She is making me work like a dog to make her run; the least she could do is throw me a bone.

That's discouraging in the short term but when you get her sorted you will be a happy camper and feel proud for seeing it through. Good luck with the gremlins. I feel your frustration.

Chopped off the back of my frame and welded in 3/4" recovery points and two 1.5" DOM tubes, and there's a 2x4" rectangle tube (1/4" wall) behind the tubes. Eliminated 3" of hitch receiver and now I have legit recovery points.
Next step is adding more tube (following the existing lines) around the 1/4 panels.

They look great! I did the same a while back (see Toyota Corolla seats in a 60). It took some mucking around to get the height right, but they are fantastic now! Ps - I paid $50 for the pair!

That is sweet. Real commitment there when you put blade to metal eh?

You certainly have. Nice craftsmanship!

Thanks I'm just sort of bummed about the perfect crossmember I scrapped. Oh well I offered it up and no one wanted it

In 6 months someone will pop up and ask if you still have it.

Pulled the oil pan to find a spun main and scored cylinders. Po didn't understand the benefits of oil. New motor located and deconstruction process begins. Going to start a "while it's out" checklist thread
