Lubed everything but the birfs (next week). Also found that all four bolts on the drive shaft were loose, got those snugged back in.

Modifying my swingout to hold the Hi-Lift this week if I can find the time

Finally managed to have a nice fire on the beach to finish the day, it's been a long week.

...not this weekend, but over the Fourth, I removed and replaced the front pinion bearing, race, bearing spacer, oil slinger, oil seal, and reinstalled the companion flange on the rear differential, (Parts via Onur). Removed the rear differential cover plate and derusted in white vinegar /salt brine, sandblasted it and painted it Royal blue (leftover rattlecan, what I had on hand). The companion flange had a slight groove worn in by the oil seal, probably due to the mild lift, and 320,000 miles.
Cleaned out the accumulated crud from winter salts / mud on the u-joint and tierod end grease zerks, added some fresh.
Drove about 600 miles South thru BFE and she's humming fine.

Installed my new stainless steel battery tray on 84 fj60 project from DK Enterprises and threaded and installed my heavy duty well made battery cables from "Fourrunner"
And ordered new harness straps through "Clips and Fasteners.com"

Spent some time sharpening loops at one of my favorite work stations......Lost Nation Pilsner + Some Grateful Dead = sharp chains. Nice way to end one day and prep for the next......

I removed my Safari Snorkle and hardware and now it's for sale.

Whats the rest of your rig painted with? Looks good
Thanks! It's PPG concept single stage too. Color came from a later model FJ Cruiser.

wjb4000, This is what the safari snorkel looks like off my truck. I'll need to find a fender to replace the one with the hole in it. lol

Took a drive up Harts Pass, WA. Funny to think that this is July in the North Cascades. 40 deg temps and rain. At the top of Slate Peak (7,100 ft) vis was down to 100ft. None the less very picturesque and beautiful.

Finally put reeves bumpers on. Also recently changed my dash pad ( from Beno). Added Freeway Blasters from Fiamm. Changed my clutch fan, which is actually called a fluid coupler. Was tempted to do the fan shroud modification but I'm glad I didn't. I'm not in that much of a hurry! Had my throttle valve cable changed. I love tinkering on this beauty. Some music. A couple beers. Buying tools that you absolutely have to have. Nothing better.
Oh yeah...and the windshield wiper upgrade from Beno. Totally worthwhile.
