Finally got around to blacking out my grill. Now my front bar looks like s***. Damnit.

Cleaned and lubricated the horn contact ring on my steering wheel. Used Fluid Film this time in hopes of finding something that will keep the squeak away for long term rather than just a few days. We'll see how long this lasts.

I replaced the stock headlights with Hella 7" Round E Code H4 Halogen Replacement Headlights with Standard 60/55W H4 Bulbs. I haven't had the opportunity to drive it at night with the light upgrade but during the late afternoon when I completed the upgrade I could tell the lights were brighter. I think a harness will make a big difference so, the next upgrade will be a good harness. I want one that will allow the "bright" lamp on the dash to work.

Continued to troubleshoot my weak (and unable to UNlock rear driver's side door) power door locks with no luck. I'm starting to think more and more that the rear driver's side solenoid is just going out. It locks perfectly but refuses to unlock unless the engine is running.
Yet another fruitless endeavor on that. If a solenoid works one way it should work both ways. But for the life of me I can NOT get it to unlock without the engine running. No bueno on battery power.

Dan - Looks ok. I'm starting to think too much black is too much.

Replaced a busted front wheel stud, replaced drivers seat belt which has been cut 3/4 of the way through since i have had the truck. (these were last weekend actually)

This weekend I had the unexpected pleasure of dropping the tank to fix this leaking garbage. Some PO had cut a hole in the floor to replace fuel pump and then sawed the hard lines off at the pump so he could weasel it out of the hole only to reconnect them with short pieces of hose and pinch clamps on the pressure side and way to tight worm drive clamps on the return..

Are those new OEM front seat belts? If so, where did you score those? I thought they were NLA?

Drivers front seatbelt is still available in grey only. At least it was 6 months ago. Beno will know for sure.

At least one grey FL was available earlier this month! I actually got a quote from one of the places that re-webs belts, thinking that would be cheaper, but it was almost twice as much as a new belt! Did some digging online and found one. Should have hit up one of the mud associated sellers but I was so happy I had found one for cheaper than having my old one re-done that i jumped on it. (as I recall seeing somewhere that they were NLA as well).

Best part is, if you close your eyes as you're pulling out the new belt, you feel like you're in a new car; it's just so smooooth! :)

Here's the tag on the "old" one. Seems to be from '97.

And the new one (from 2015!)

Now that we are pat Thanksgiving, we got my 60 in the Christmas spirit and hauled out tree home.

Anyone know a good solvent to get sap off? Haha yikes.

I think I'll add a few more strands of lights on the roof rack.

Took it for a spin in the woods.

DAMN that's a sweet setup. Really good looking bob and I like that body slider, might steal that.
