Not sure if it matters but I got a SKF front from rock auto and it’s made in China. I haven’t installed it yet, could be perfectly fine.
I would personally be comfortable putting in a Chinese SKF, but knowing that I'd prefer Koyo given the choice. SKF is a global manufacturer and their bearings are well-used in industrial applications. If they are manufacturing bearings in China at a SKF factory (as opposed to having a 3rd party manufacture them), they are probably good.

I am pretty sure the SKFs I put on our Outback where made in South Korea, but that was a number of years ago so I don't 100% recall.
 
Go Hokies! Lot of blurry memories in that town. If he drives to class tell him the best way to get a spot is to wait by the parking lot stairs and offer the kids going to thier cars a ride to thier car as a trade for thier spot. Great way to meet girls
