Napa $100 awning. Used the included brackets directly on the factory rack.
Easy. Cheap. Shady.
1 banana job.

I had no idea that awning existed. Going to pick one up before our Labor Day Weekend camping trip. Thanks!

FYI!

Nicely done!
Allow a recommendation my buddy and I devised for using stock siderails, you may find it useful too....

It may be a little better for you... Unistrut cam nuts fit in the slot on the inboard side of the stock side rails. I was able to bend the factory universal rhino rack mount bracket such that I could Mount the rhino rack directly to the factory side rail. I think that configuration might be a little bit more solid than a clamp over the side rail especially considering the side rail has a plastic outer coating.

the darker nut is metric, Rhino Rack hardware, the zinc is off-the-shelf unistrut/superstrut hardware

to fit the 3/8" unistrut nut, I shaved it a little with the angle grinder, then painted it...

Replaced spark plugs today. Only one slightly oiled on the threads. Also replaced the horns with Hella's for whenever I get the horn situation figured out. Radio controls on the steering wheel work, but not the CC or Horn. I didn't really notice when it happened but it happened.

After giving the grill a freshening up and adding the required LRD side emblems, we ran the Magruder Cooridor from Idaho to Montana followed by Bear Valley in Idaho. The GX is a great fire road rig with the Eibach Pro Truck 1 kit, ARB under armor and the Kenda Klever MT 255/75/17 tires. Side boards will be coming off in the future.

Loaded my gravel bike on the roof and rode ~22 mi of Missouri backroads. On the way out i found a nice place to test the flex of the Ironman lift.

De-badged the rear door today. Need to buff out some remaining marks/lines that didn't come off with the magic eraser/goo gone. Need to get rid of the chrome next.

What seat covers are those?

BTW, I've never seen such a tiny fire extinguisher. How does this type work?
They're the tweed version from seatcoversunlimited.

Booger welded some brackets onto the back of the front bumper support to mount a transmission cooler. Sprayed them with rustoleum after a quick wire wheel treatment to keep the cancer away hopefully! The cooler added about a quart of fluid to the equation which should help with efficiency as well. I used to hit 200-205 coming home from Ridgecrest CA and now it has not gone over 187 on a long hill with a stiff headwind at 100 degrees ambient temp. I fed it from the existing lower
cooler hose that feeds back to the transmission using regular hose clamps on 3/8 hose with no leaks after 1000 miles...fingers crossed lol!

Dipped the grill yesterday and got it reinstalled this morning. I may remove the dip from the L emblem; haven't decided yet. Planning to do the rear emblems soon as well.

If anyone's planning to do this mod, I did a quick write-up.

Loaded up the family and went to a new swimming hole on the Black River. The roads ended up being legit 4x4 trails with mud, sand, and loose rocks. The new table worked great and I'll finish it in the coming weeks. Used a towel today to keep grease off of the raw wood.

The stove works okay with that setup so as not to melt the plastic door panel? I have been curious about a setup like this as it's what we need but we cook for a family of four and make some heat!

Also: Ordered front and rear drive shafts to eliminate clunking and get rid of the old design. Ordered brake pads, and actuator o-rings to stop a leak. LED indicator lights and amber fogs coming for the ARB SLEE inserts as well! It will be busy before snow falls.
