Sucked out excess brake fluid with a turkey baster today. Not stoked that this is what the fluid level looked like after the car had been sitting for a day. Got a flush done a week ago at the dealership, and it looks like they didn’t pay much attention.

Not as involved or needed as some of the stuff everyone else is doing but....

Needed a better phone mount that didn't drop my phone when on the trails... or the wilds of the Maryland streets! It is very stable and its made by Panvise so the head can be changed out for other styles of mounts

... and for safety sake... a nice mount for the fire extinguisher on the front passenger seat. Mount is nice and stable too. Fit and finish is spot on. I might take the time and trim the plastic covers to give it a more finished OEM look at some point.

replaced the interior OEM bulbs from with LEDs from Amazon to give it an updated look and save a few watts of juice when the doors are left open.

Also got rid of the crappy elastic webbing on the back door... got a good deal on a Rago Cargo Cage. Installation was a breeze and it fit perfectly. Super strong and actually works unlike the OEM one.

Just checked out that cargo cage. $140 bucks is more than a little steep for what that is. Can you tell us how you got the good deal on it?

yeah a person was selling it because they were going in a different direction with their build and had never installed it.... thats how i got the good deal!

I basically used the Tacoma template to map out the UCA/coil bucket tower; then added the 4Runner templates onto the sides as wings and trimmed off the Tacoma specific stuff. Came up with a nice hybrid between the 2 without spending a whole lot of time measuring or making a template from scratch.

It’s hard to believe it been almost 8 years since we got this thing with 94k miles on it.
This has been one of the best vehicles I’ve ever owned especially what I put it through and how it handles it.
And here… 6 years, 70k miles and nothing but reliability, comfort, utility and good times for the family of 5. Today she got power stop rotors and pads front and rear.

Well mounted my Hi-Lift jack inside the GX today. Used a set of Jeep hood mounts ( very stout pieces ) and mounted it to my box in the cargo area.
everything fits like a glove. No noise and very solid. It is out of the way there and I am still able to get to it when needed...hopefully never.
