I found a pretty killer deal on some tires. It’s going to be a while till I can even begin to make them work but that’s ok cuz they sure are fun to look at haha

Installed some Apex recovery points, finished wrapping the interior wood, leather wrap on the steering wheel, and dechromed the exterior. View attachment 2711553View attachment 2711569View attachment 2711555View attachment 2711556View attachment 2711557
Looks awesome! Got a picture of the rest of the wood cover up you did? I've been eyeing those steering wheel wraps. Did one on my old 4Runner and loved how it turned out. Whole heck of a lot cheaper than a piano black wheel!

So I did the dash in May of last year. But didn't do the door because I didn't have time, and quickly forgot about it. Here a picture

I did the shift knob too but didn't like how it turned out so I pulled it off... And left it until I did it again this last weekend... I'll probably do it a third time because I didn't get it quite right and the bumps I can feel

Here's what it looks like now(sorry just quick pictures, so not the greatest detail) pardon the mess

Ok here we go. Guilty full time lurker, part time habitual non-poster.
Headlight restoration (never clear coated, will probably have to do again soon)
2. Body lift (took driver seat to clean under as I bought used, and removed rear plastics for easy access and inspect).
3. Snorkel install (still need to relocate breather vent lines)
4. Ironman 2.5” lift, with adjustable rear lower spring perch, 1” front diff drop.

Looks good! Did you do a black brushed metallic vinyl?

Finished Day 2/2 in Moab. It's amazing what an essentially stock GX with good tires at 16 psi and skidplates will do. Hit up Dome Plateau today (yesterday was Gemini Bridges and Willow Springs road into Arches). I did hit the ARB transmission skid pretty good on one rock, made one minor scrape on the front bumper, and drug the hitch once. A-TRAC kicked in a couple of times; I did a lot of the easier stuff in 4H with the center diff unlocked. Rock sliders haven't even been hit yet. Slickrock is great stuff.....way easier to wheel on than our wet, muddy, tight trails back home in the Ozarks.

Installed the Off-grid aux battery tray. Battery cables and connectors are on back order so knocked this out while waiting. Had to clean the install bay, reroute a ground wire, test for clean ground connection, and sleeve the passenger fender wires so took longer than expected.

Big O snapped one of the studs on my wheel spacers this week and said that nobody had a stud in stock, so they just gave me the car back with only 5 lug nuts on one wheel🤦🏼‍♂️ so I got a stud and pressed it in at work. They claimed it was cross threaded on by the last person who touched it and it broke off when they were just taking the wheel off. Who knows though. Gave me a good excuse to finally buy a floor jack.

Drove up to Yankee Boy Basin from Ouray, CO, parked at 11,600 ft, and hiked to 13,000 ft at Blue Lakes Pass. Not a bad 37th birthday! I'll post real DSLR pics from our family Durango/Moab/Ouray vacation when we get back home. The GX continues to impress and we have yet to scrape a rock slider or encounter anything near the ragged limits of it's capability. We've also been out-wheeling a lot of rigs costing 3-4x as much with my wife spotting us in the rough stuff. Engineer Pass is tomorrow, then the long drive home across Kansas.
