The doors control the lights. You'd need to add a switch and run your own wiring to manually operate the lights.

They come on when the doors open and when unlocking with the remote. I plan to wire them up my Switch Pro for manual control at a later time.
Completed the Fins and Things trail in Moab today. Got there early and there wasn't much traffic. Saw a stock 100 series on the trail, but no other Toyotas. We went through every obstacle without any issues other than a few nicks on the rear bumper.
Rattle can paint with 2K clear on my dissent bumper.

what brand paint and paint code did you use?
My local auto paint store mixed the paint. Alpine Silver 1F0.
Turn out to be lighter than the original paint on the gx.
Messed around at Iron Range Off Road park in Gilbert, MN a couple days ago. Killed my alternator mudding - still a major bummer that it's mounted low. Anybody done the Mesabi Mountain trail up there? Curious if a winch and 35s are really necessary as is recommended.

Ha as fun as it is, I really do hate mud. I've lost an alternator on a 4Runner to mud as well

But no. It took several attempts at repositioning to get me up.
Hopefully replacing coils and plugs today, and cv axles, O2 sensors (front and rear) tomorrow. If I have enough time, I'll pull my head unit and try and see if I can't flush mount it.

Guy from the dealer said they have a mandate right now to make an offer on any clean GX or 4runner that comes through. Guess these things really are in demand.
