Have you converted to disc yet? If you used Toyota parts, the RCV will fit. If you still have drums or used non-Toyota brake parts, they use the old coats spline birfields. I’m pretty sure RCV is only available in fine spline birfields.

not disk yet but definitely should be added to my list

And wallet…. On that note, I have the converted Toyota FJ60’s disc brakes on my 40 and the difference blows me away. no comparison, you’re gonna love it!

Happens to the best of us
Used to be almost routine, especially on trails like the Rubicon, people were always busting birfs. Everybody carries a spare, and the little clips they need...

Tech Tip: Wheel without your door mirrors. Pack a box half full of packing peanuts, wrapping paper and a small ziplok bag. Put the screws in the bag and your mirrors in the box at the start of the trail, put them back on the doors for the drive home.

Fixed my rear tailgate window! At PP25 I had to do a trail fix on the window. The glass came out of the track and then the arms went too far and jumped gear teeth. When I put it back it ended up uneven. We all thought the the arms should be level and went to great lengths to make sure they were. The reality is that the driver side arm should be a little bit higher. After I got it correct today, I marked the arms with a sharpie…for next time!

Speedhut brackets are on the website now.

Some ceramic tint and a drive through Red Rock Canyon…

Shipped out this morning G.
And arrived Friday. I didn't get around tuit till today.nice that it comes with good mounting hardware and the correct drill bit. Nicely packed too.
I tore up my original DS scuff plate years ago so I really needed that one and got started on it first. Tight fit over the old wire loom that travels along that side, I probably coulda got it to fit down with a few mallet whacks, but I didn't. Instead I unwrapped the factory tape job and slid on some 1/2" woven loom. Still too tight. So I trimmed the door surround trim. Plenty of room now.

It does look pretty nice there. I wonder if it might have been better to screw the plate to the inside floor, as it was originally. Just need to invert the "Land Cruiser"...
