An impulse buy that popped up locally; I added a 97 40th to the family. I was without a Cruiser for 7 months. I tried to stay away, buuuut...

It already has a small lift and caster correction. It is a driver as is, but needs some special touches.

I already removed the running boards, and will assess the condition of the rear sleeping platform and drawers. Has a decent front winch bumper already. I'd love to find some flares for it. Needs new seat leather, antenna, bigger rubber, the usual. 236k

My first 80 ('92) was dubbed Coconino. The second 80 ('97) was Kaibab. Now what to name the 3rd. Hmmmm? Tonto was already taken (Tim and Kelsey) . So I'm open to other Forest name suggestions 😁

Congrats @Pitch. It looks better than the pictures in the ad already.

How about " Kingston" , your NY hometown

Not a national forest but; Mesa Verde. Pines, and an obvious reason. One more; San Juan, which is a national forest.

Locally; Coronado? We also have Apache...

And hopefully husband Steve took that pic.

Today I was finally able to finish up the Marlin Crawler Marlink HD upgraded steering. With concern about the larger diameter tube from Marlin Crawler, I used an angle grinder to grind down the radius arms. All I took off was the ridge on the radius arms and I ended up with plenty of room.

Oh, and I passed a milestone today, 241001-mile mark.

And just a poser picture.

Replaced the cheap Monroe non-oem rear shocks with OEM shocks this morning. Also had to replace all of the original shock washers, which is spendy, but got them half price from partsouq. Almost as expensive as new shocks. Took more time getting the truck ready to remove the shocks than it took to actually remove them. Big difference from my black truck. Added some Trail Tailor extended sway bar links to the rear. Also went back in and replaced the rubber caliper pin boots on the rear brakes and greased the pins. Original boots were pretty stiff and grease was bad.

On the 93 2 inch Ironman Lift and replaced the heater hoses
On the 04 have way done on a 2.5 OME lift then will be the heater hoses

New to me oil pressure gauge from Tim Hill and soon ( VERY STOKED ABOUT THIS ONE) front disc brake conversion and new shocks front and rear.

No it's a 73. While don't see them I have the one year only reverse light, bows, doors and correct headrests. In July will have owned it twenty six years and have never started the engine. This one really tested how strong a marriage we have. I had just bought a FJ40 a month before when someone who heard I had a FJ40 offered to sell me this one for $1K. Was a complete fluke but honestly what happened. Right place at the right time.
