That locker looks just like the Aussie Locker I put in my 80 almost 20yrs ago.
I’ve found it works well especially if you utilize a little left foot braking from time to time.
It will occasionally lock up when hanging corners around town. Never causes a problem, just the noise and the feel of it locking.

New radiator and hoses. New accumulators (globes) installed by Higgy's!

Yea hoping to throw it in this week. @richardlillard1 says they make more noise initially then the Aussie bit work just as well.

Got the Vintage Air installed—well PowderPig did. Really happy with the install. He does great work and takes the time to get it right. For anyone needing work done on their cruiser, don’t hesitate to contact him. No issues with the system so far—other than Vintage Air dropping the Gen V system about a week after it was all done. 😂. Can’t imagine it being better. The blower on this really moves some air.

Looks really clean. Mine is opened up like a can of sardines right now. I am routing new a/c lines as well as working with the Vintage Air technician with determine the best way to have the Vintage Air trinary safety switch on the high pressure side talk to the GM pcm to control the operation of be series-parallel dual fans that I built.
Schematics of my thoughts shown below...
Fun stuff..., even get to learn what a diode does and get it installed.

I had an ARB rear air locker installed my 2016 LC 200 last month by AZ differentials by Nat.
We used a spare ARB single onboard compressor that I had. Don’t know if I’ll ever need it. The center diff lock and traction control systems seem to be plenty for the overland stuff that I normally do.

Last trip out I started hearing an annoying whine from the Taco's engine bay. Replaced one of the idler pulleys and the tensioner pulley and tossed on a new serpentine belt for good measure. Toyota doesn't sell the tensioner pulley as a separate item, so I had to buy the entire tensioner! At least now I have a spare tensioner if I ever need one. If the tensioner pulley ever goes out again, I'll just replace the bearing as there is very little wear on the outside surface of the pulley.

Engine is silent running again!

Buddy of mine and I got out of town last weekend when everyone was in Flagstaff for the Expo, and hit the North Kaibab. From Jacob lake we did the 461 to the Westside road to Crazy Jug, Timp Point, and then the 250 road north through the visitas to Brown's canyon, and back out on 67. It was a blast, a tad windy and the snow on Sunday was an unexpected adventure. Pics below (1 of 2)

Did the rollercoaster in the rolls to take the fam to the lake. That’s not a hard trail at all but there is a couple large optional line “steps”, with the locker and the tires it just crawled right over. So excited for some real wheeling soon. Oh and cdl switch I wish I done sooner. So helpful.

I am thinking I may be one of the last ones on the planet who is running the archiac OEM brakes. But they are simple. 2 Shoes, 2 springs, and
2 wheel cylinders. They work.
I found a leak, and replacing what is needed.

Drove the 80 out to Chandler today for Father's Day get together and to test the slight change I made to the Heater Control Valve which was remaining open by about 4-5mm from the full cold stop. It was 115F today and I swear resetting the control cable so the arm hit the full cold stop lowered vent temps noticeably!

I wouldn't have thought that shutting off even the slightest flow of engine coolant through the heater core would have made much difference, but it went from blowing cold to blowing ICE cold, and I ran the A/C on Low Speed, Upper & Lower, Recirculate for the whole drive and it was plenty, even after sitting outside in the heat for a few hours.

For AZ desert dwellers, worth taking a look under your hood: Adjusting water valve to maximize A/C performance - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/adjusting-water-valve-to-maximize-a-c-performance.173731/

(^^^ Not my thread, but it's the one that got me out in the garage to check it, and thankful that I did!)
