Just got my 80 back from CBT.. the brake booster gave up the ghost.... and it gave out unknowingly last week. I came close to smashing into a the vehicle parked across the parking slot I was pulling into at a Walmart parking lot.. HOLY SH1T.. it was the scariest thing ever. I'm just glad CBT has a evening drop off.. was able to drive it to CBT from Queen Creek later in the evening when there wasn't much traffic... Without the booster, its near impossible to stop these big heavy vehicles, without downshifting through the gears... It wasn't cheap, but I figured I'd go OEM and have the confidence to know it shouldn't go out for at least another 300K?

Oh and since they replaced the booster, figured they might as well replace the brake master and flush the brake fluid.

I tackled the sagging seat pocket issue this weekend and only have a couple of suggestions. I attempted to remoe the metal gromet without damage but mine broke. :frown:

Once broke the top pillar moved enought to move out of the way of the hole to pull the cord through the hole entirely (after cutting the end off) and tie a knot (knot may not be necessary). Push the remaining gromet back through the hole to pinch the elastic cord to hold it taut. See below pics. I would be happy to help anyone who is frustrated with th sagging seat pocket.

Also working on sunroof weather stripping replacement...

Loaded our son's Nissan 200sx on a trailer and schlepped it back from NAU to the only mechanic he can afford (that being me) to Oracle with the Runner.

Finally got some time to see what this stock 4runner w/trac control and decent tires was capable of. One of those "I should be driving the locked 40 moments" on a steep washed out track to a narrow spine on Antelope Peak. Honestly impressed.

Abigail, What are your impressions of your new RTT?

So far, it's worth the irritation of being tall all the time. Slept like a baby (with the addition of my exped, of course), and the open/close is quick and easy to do by myself. Realized I definitely do need heavier springs in the rear now, though; it's fine on the road but off-road I'm getting too much compression with the added weight.

@Abigail the pic in my profile is that same spot. A couple nights camped there ourselves. Such a great spot!

Last weekend got Dobinsons 3" Flexi coils installed. Heat beat me up but got it done. Just today CBT removed the drop brackets and installed CSC caster plates thanks to @medtro

More pics, info and measurements in my build thread.
