Installed a new EGT gauge / PID controller. This one was 60 bucks on eBay and has a built-in solid state relay PID output and mechanical relay. I replace the push button for my DIY water injection with the relay on the new EGT gauge. Water injection starts at 1300 Fahrenheit. Water injection is by washer motor intermittent by flasher relay in line directly into the turbo intake. On a mild grade pedal to the floor once the water kicks in EGT climb slows and will not pass 1327 Fahrenheight between 68 and 72 mph trying to hold speed or accelerate. Need a bigger water tank perhaps 2 gallon. I could get fancy and use the PID solid state relay to completely control the washer pump:. Time on, interval, time off, voltage etc.. but it's a bit complex, especially with Google translated Chinese engineer abbreviated text. Happy for now but perhaps a larger tank and figure out where to put it.

Winter is over, the Cruiser driven out of winter storage.
A little wobble appeared last summer, balancing the tires (just in case) didn’t help. Now I replaced the tie rod ends, I also made a new rods so that the old ones were left in reserve and the problem was solved. So much better to drive now.
Next on the list are the front brake discs, brake calipers + pads, brake hoses, brake lines and maybe wheel bearings.

What tap/reamer setup did you use?
I did the threads by turning because there were only a few threads, and I didn’t want to buy thread taps just for these.
Oh yeah, today was a good day.
I went to the grocery store in the morning, was a pleasant surprise to see another J70 in the parking lot! I waited for a while and the car owner arrived, it turned out that I knew the car owner through work. The next half hour was spent talking about Cruisers!
In the afternoon we used a winch to fell a few trees near the buildings. The visual estimate of the length of the tree was correct.

Looks like your RH tail light needs to be rotated 180 degrees.

Passed the mandatory technical inspection (TÜV HU AU) 
No findings.
Just the emissions test was a bit difficult on the old engine (314tkm).
Good to go for another two years.
Also spoke to the engineer on a valuation to update the vehicle's insurance value. They ask 190€ just for the certificate and a figure.
I added up what I had invested in it since I purchased it two years ago.
Damn. This is an expensive hobby
Need to ensure that's covered.

Fit Garage R/R my BEBs and bolts. Little rubbin and snugglin it appears. No scoring/gouging really. Happy it's done and I didn't have to get an oil shower doing it.

Thanks. They are Front Runner's units for the 76 series. Fit like a champ. Built the inner box recently.
Worked with a duder in the US FRO store to get them several years ago. If you change your location to South Africa on their website you can see the offerings.
Are you hunting the 23x1.50mm LH tap? I found a local source and bought a few. It's been 20 years but I think the tool shop is still in business. The RH is far pretty easy/inexpensive, it's the LH that nastly. I think I paid $200 in 2002 time frame. That's what, $500 now?
