A dark bronze

Thanks for all the help! I've been leaning torward that bronze/dark gold with black lug nuts and black center caps. I dont think I will wheel it too hard. I just want to get off the beaten path a little bit. The dark greys and gun metals are a good option too. The wheels aren't in bad shape, but they could use a freshening up for sure. Only $55 a wheel for sandblasting, fixing any rash, and powdercoat so why not.

Satin black works surprisingly well. I just PC'd a set of LX rims a more graphite color and now wish I'd gone satin black - you can't really go wrong with it since it's sort of matte sort of shiny, essentially black but lightens nicely depending on the, er, light.

white might look cool with a red truck but it's a bigger gamble. SCS makes some white rims and there are posts on here somewhere. Bronze also.

Thanks for all the help guys and gals! I just dropped off my wheels and my new 35" tires and I'll be picking them up this Thursday. I'll reveal them then!

I got my new ARB bumper in today. I know there are better bumpers out there, but I had one on my old Moonglow Blue Cruiser and it looked really good I thought. I have had many Land Cruisers and I'm taking what I liked about all of them and building one to keep!

Good choice! I think bronze wheels look great on green or red trucks...

I recently gave mine the treatment too:

Man that looks great! :cheers:Love that color! (I really think you ought to match the caps though) Once lifted that thing will just look sick. I like bumpers and racks and all that, but I just love the look of a slicktop, no running board, lifted 80 with stock bumpers.

Those look flippin' great! What is the brand and color?

I think that color would also look good on the classic Land Cruiser metallic beige (62 series) to bring out more of its original warmth.

The color is called Triple Bronze. I had them done at like 90% gloss and had them clear coated too. I'm not sure on the brand of powder.

Thank you! Yeah the lift is sitting in the back of the truck. I need to finish my 1991 Pajero before I start wrenching and base lining the 80 series. Yeah my truck came with no factory roof rack, which is awesome! I'm sure the running boards were taken off at some point. I think I'll do a build thread as soon as I get this Pajero done. I need to work on my 100 series too! Too many projects!

@dogfishlake Did you have your wheels powder coated as well? They look like the factory 40th wheels, but all nice n shiny!

Yep they are powder coated.
