What could cause my dash BRAKE light to come on? No my emergency brake is not pulled not even a small amount. Last week it came on intermittantly turning off as I slowed to stop then after a day or so it stayed on. I have a 94LC. Thanks in advance....

Low brake fluid.

had this problem with Sarah's 80

There is a sensor on the brake res that goes bad. There are some threads on it. I just unplugged the sensor after validating the fluid was full. Or you can replace the sensor

If the fluid is not low, then almost 100% guaranteed it's the sensor in the MC cap, as Romer stated.

Unplug the sensor. If that cures it, then that's your problem.

Also, the cap may not be on tight. Ask me how I know? Did a brake job, bled it, topped off the fluid and got the warning light. I was fairly hostile about it after a full new set of rotors, rebuilding the calipers, etc. Turned out the cap was a little askew.

I'll add that sensor to my list to check if my light comes on but...

If the brake fluid is low then check your pads. If things work just right as the pads wear out the fluid moves into the lines and the light comes on.
