since my radio is in the Tuffy what can i put in this spot? Is there some insert that fits without modifying it a ton??

i was thinking of gauges, but i wonder how hard it would be to stuff them in. maybe a tilt gauge
CB? I'll be doing the opposite (stereo in dash, CB in console).

CB is in the tuffy. I just saw a inclinometer that looks like it would fit perfect!!
OEM radio. My theory is that tweakers will laugh and walk on by. My Jensen heavy duty is in the tuffy, and I kept my OEM in that spot.

i wonder if i can get this to fit and work if i take it out of the molding...
Ditto here. That old AM/FM stereo isn't too appealing to dirt bags. Better chance they'll move along.
look for GS-UR T-3 Radio Gauge Panel from Glow Shift, 3 gauge DIN panel. I'm in process of doing the same... 2 1/16th size, for 3 gauges.
I'll post up a pic later...I'm about half-way done. When I say it fits...you just have to make it work... no cutting but I've used some zip ties to secure it to the old radio brackets.

the bad thing is i think all the radio brackets have been cut out

Multiple cigarette lighter power plugs... You can never have enough of those these days.
If your willing to cut into the dash, you can fit the inclometer from early 4 runners.

as long as i can make it look stockish i have no issues with it.
In that case I'd get a stock inclinometer, which is a bolt in into the small storage pocket underneath.
