Unfortunately been working on everything but the 40…which still isn’t driveabile due to the stripped caliper bolt and pooched brake rotor.
Wrapped up a changing table topper I built and tried to match to furniture in the new kiddo’s room. This was my first attempt at “real” woodworking. The biggest challenge was definitely trying to stain maple and match the color of the 75+ year old dresser it will sit on.
tried my hand at 2 stroke motor repair so I could get this thing back up and running:
it would run on prime and cut off after about 30 seconds. Picked up a junky $20 carb on Amazon - which had a ferrous steel governor arm that interfered with the magneto - so some fresh fuel lines and cobbling together the old (non-ferrous) throttle/governor assembly off the old carb with the diaphragm and jets from the new, and about 15 min of tuning I now have a 43cc hip destroyer.
Ultimately the auger will bore the holes for a mower ramp that will (finally) wrap up the shed project, which I turn will free up some garage space and (hopefully) get me back to fixing the 40…
