im almost 20k miles just since i've had the head off a few years ago....with another god knows how many prior to that.....it has proven its self to be more realible than its mechanic.
this is probably going to be the trip that pushs me over the edge on putting 3:70 rears in it.

Yeah I’m still in the shake-down phase. I’ve got a few long trips under my belt now but only about 1500 miles on the drivetrain. So far, so good - but still quirky/bugs to work out.

Good luck!

Still haven’t figured out the parking brake thing.

Just do it! It’s a Toyota, after all!

And I’m an hour north of Dover so if anything goes down around northern DE/MD/southern PA, I can ferry up some tools and a hand too.

As expected the trip was unsurprising.
Admittedly I normally set the GPS to avoid tolls and highways...today was no exception.
I didnt keep track of miles or mileage.
I filled up before leaving Lebanon. We also had a few extra stops..one in northern reading and a second in south philly before heading south.
Seems like it did pretty good on fuel.

and back home unscathed.
reviewing the gps routing shows 362 miles door to door with 10hrs of seat time.
rough math on mileage says something in the 14-15mpg range.
3:70s as expected are top of the list now. back roads are nice but at the same time a little more highway cruising wouldn't be a bad thing either.

With 38200 miles on the stock Bridgestone p rated tires it was time to get new shoes for the Sequoia. I have been looking at several websites since the winter and had my eye on several ATs in the 275/70/18 size which is 1” taller than stock and LT rated. 4wheel parts had a killer sale on Mickey Thompson Deegan 38s 4 shipped for $590 plus a rebate for $80. Here they are next to the Taco

Spent the afternoon into the evening giving the Burgundy Beast a full detailing which was much needed since we bought it used and was never really given a good cleaning and wax.

Anyone with a second gen tundra, sequoia, or 200series looking to add a little more of a meaty tire these really filled out the wheel wells nicely with no rubbing. Most importantly, the wife loves them and raves how much better the truck handles compared to the stock marshmellos the factory puts on.

Good luck Brian I'm sure it will all work out

I was pretty sure they knew I was on "the list"....turns out they didn't.
That will be remembered as one of the most unpleasant moments in my life....no regrets...but do not want to do that again any time soon.
Really hoping that they tell me to piss off tomorrow.
As it turns another guy resigned too....in addition to the three of us that gave notice.

Onwards and upwards now.

What’s the new gig? Didn’t you mention a new role as business owner?!

When you mentioned ownership, I thought you were moving up at Osage. Sorry to hear that it was painful. Best of luck in the new endeavor.
