Modern Day Cowboy and LIttle Suzy are my favorite Tesla songs. Unfortunately, I had to work out of town way back when and didnt get to see the Def Leppard/Tesla show when they came through the Orlando area back in 87.



We family bonded at the Shinedown concert in GSO this past Saturday night. They were doublebilled with Godsmack, and fortunately they went on first. Brent has one HECK of a voice, and I love the fact that they kept having voices of positivity and goodwill towards everyone during the show. Such a rarity for a hard rock band. They could have played about 5 or 6 more songs during their stint on stage.

We decided to head home between Shinedown and Godsmack, and were treated to an unconcious/passed out dude at the building exit. It's amazing how many people just walk on by and do nothing, and just as badly, how many people want to do the wrong thing when it comes to rendering first aid.

Haha, well, at first i was wonderin if he had gotten robbed and laid out. I was wheelin my wife in the wheelchair, and daughter and her bf were walking alongside us. I set the wheel brakes and started doin my victim assessment on him, tryin to see if he would come to. My wife was concerned that he wasnt breathing. A nurse came up to help out while my daughter called 911. He was out of it, and was a big fella, so his head wasnt on the ground, just hovering an inch or two above it. I ended up taking my shoe off and putting the toe under his head. We kept him on his side, which it seems the vast amount of the non-trained public doesnt agree with..."you should put him on his back to be comfortable....".....no lady, you keep him on his side, because if/when he throws up, it flies away from him, and he doesnt choke and drown on it.

Cops finally showed up, said he was sitting upright earlier, and must have finally fallen over. They put a towel under his head so i could get my shoe back. Then we went on home.

I've probably posted this before but it deserves a repeat performance. One of the biggest rock bands of the time picking some random guy from the crowd to sing one of the most awesome (and hardest songs) to ever come from the Great White North. Brian, we all bow to you.

Side note - anybody who doesn't think the opening note of Tom Sawyer is one of the most awesome musical events of the 80's is not to be trusted.

This is pretty cool. Q&A at a Billy Joel Concert, young guy gets up and plays the hell out of the piano. Watch Billy Joels hands, he does not know what to do with them :)
