What can I do to fix this? Is it difficult to do? The latch atcually broke off and was in my hand. The little piece that remains on the door allows me to grab it a little and open the door. Anyone have this part sitting around? What is the process to replace? Thanks, all!

Let me guess. Green car/handle?

You need to buy the entire latch. easy replacement, just have to pull the door interior card, pull 2 10mm screws and pop off the two links, then swap out the lock mechanism.

yep....and don't try to glue it or use epoxy. You'll be back in there soon enough doing it again. With JB weld AND Gorrilla glue mine lasted 2 weeks before it snapped again. You can either find one from a Part Out thread (seems like lots of guys looking cuz they go quick) or you can order an unpainted knock-off from Amazon or order new from Beno (like I did). Toyota OEM's can be ordered by the color.

A valet parker did that to my car. He blamed me until I asked for their insurance. Reported it to the broker and the owner of the valet company called me right away. lol.

It was also green. Is this a "thing" with green handles? Are they weaker than all others?

Mine's green and is cracked, so I am trying to be very careful and not break it completely...

My white handle developed a crack and could feel it flex when I pulled on it so fixed it with Loctite Epoxy for plastic before it snapped off. Still holding five years later.

Mine broke too. Managed to pick one from a damaged car, paint it and replaced it. Thanks for the info on late 90' Camry handles. Will certainly try next time. [emoji1]

here's how to do it cheaply. you have to move a spring to get it to retract but...

I think it is; green paint weakens the plastic!

my .02 cents is to buy a new one from toyota if it is green-- or do the pull string idea. All the ones at the pick n pull are the same age as yours likely, and it is just a matter of time.

My Toyota dealer here wants $116.

My white truck had a broken handle when i bought it. Found a junk yard replacement. Then found another i am keeping as a spare.

Camry compatibility is news to me

Sent from my SCH-I545

I'm with the others, never heard of the Camry swap. Mine broke and I replaced it with a Dorman purchased off Amazon. It was black and it was painted when the rest of the truck was painted (yes, OEM green).

Hmm, the doorman looks like a viable replacement. What year Camry works as well as the Depo for the Camry is half the price of the Doorman for the LC

Does anyone know which Camry door handle 92-96 or 97-01 replacement is the same 95 LC?
