Just FYI the local Gambler 500 crew is going up Little Bear this weekend for garbage clean up and trail riding.

I am so bad about taking pictures but we had a good time- perfect weather, solid 4wheeling- not tooo crazy but enough to keep it interesting for sure. Really neat mining ruins
Interesting note- my brother rode with me, we had to leave early for previous engagement- anyway we pulled into my driveway in NE Bozeman and who do I hear on the radio but Mark and Jim, still up on the Mtn above south meadow lake!! That’s gotta be 15-20mi away as the crow flies. We had a clear conversation at that distance gmrs.
Trucks looking good @Tanaman ! Hopefully we can get a couple more rides in before snow, then, of course, snow wheelin

I checked GEarth this morning and it said we were 45 miles from Kagy and Highland to the spot we were at on S. Baldy mtn. You can see the it from most of the valley on a nice clear day so line of sight with a short 3 db antenna is very impressive.
That was a great trail ride. Lots of new finds along the way and even watched a Golden Eagle fly around, below us. We found more buildings and other things of interest around the mine site…
We did find a few a trees on the loop part of the trail. The big pile in the picture was a bit to much so we had to make a “go around”. Most of the other trees in the trail we cleared with the 36” cross cut saw. My son was with me on this trip so I let him run the cross cut saw.
