Made a run to skyline on Sunday, beautiful weather and good friends. Sam was needing gas so decided to go to boulder via McCarty creek, the water crossing hasn’t been rerouted yet and SxS’s have done what they do to it. Trail is open and no trees needed cut. Was a great day

if you 40's guys remember this is the trail we did the 40's only run on a few years ago, we bypassed this section tho. I had done it in my 40 with Johnny O in his 80 a couple weeks earlier, 33's aren't quite tall enough but i'd say we had a lot more fun that day winching me out of trouble than running it with the big tires. this is a skinny trail and trask dinged his door again on a tree but it's a fun run and full sized will fit but she's tight

Oh man does that McCarty Trail look fun!
Big rocks and water crossings along a new trail is just what the doctor ordered.
I'm down for a weekend drive up there this summer!

Going to Upper Sureshot lake Friday for some camping.
Heading up there Friday around 1PM coming back Saturday afternoon.
Planning on running the Blaine mtn road trail as far as I can.
Anyone is welcome to come along for trails, fishing and camping in a beautiful area.

Hey anyone wanna run McCarty creek on sunday? 08/24/2025

i need to drive up the hill on that one, last time it was to wet to attempt.

Axolotl lake ride Saturday 10/4, 9am-ish depart.

The axolotl area is roughly between Ennis and Virginia City. I think the trail is a gravel road.

Kid friendly, if anyone knows how to actually find an axolotl please advise or better yet join us!

That is an awesome drive. Unfortunately I am slammed with soccer and other commitments.

Nice, have fun out there. My poor cruiser has been sitting in the carport for a few weeks now, it needs to go do something.

I used to have a few in a big tank a decade or so ago, very cool creatures.

They like sand and won't be on anything too hard. Look for sandy rock area ..

This is great info thanks!

A small group of us are going to hit South Meadow Creek Lake tomorrow.
Pretty easy trail to a high mountain lake.
Meeting at four corners at 9am.
Should be at McAllister inn around 10am.

Was up there last Friday. After the mine in the shade where water runs down the road was several inches of solid ice. Could not walk on it as was so slick. But with chains ice was not an issue. Was nice up at the lake. I left 3 trucks at the mine and chained up 1 to haul people the last couple miles.

Good to know about the ice. I will keep a look out for sketchy spots. I don't have chains so we will see.

It’s been a warm week. So probably cleared out. All trucks tried but about 60’ was furtherest anyone got before sliding back down. Got one GX sideways when it was sliding backwards. But was easy to flip around with some throttle on the ice and rear end against a stump. Gravity helps a lot.

Was up white tail Saturday. Pretty dry up there. I’m terrible at taking any pics. Only one I got from that trip.

South meadow was super fun.
Had a great group of five toyotas and a new Bronco. Some icy spots along the trail but nothing to crazy. The lake was so pretty with a fresh dusting of snow. Now onto the pics!
