As far as the oil leak, rub some of the oil between your thumb and forefinger while it is cold. Then pull the dipstick and feel if that oil feels the same.

Why?It could be gear oil from the front of the trans.

And even if it’s engine oil, it could still be from the stock valve cover, which is notorious for leaking.
