Was there ever an 80 with every switch blank filled from the factory?

And if so, with what? I have at least 9 blank spaces on my dashboard. I know there was the locker switch, a subtank switch, ECT, security system and maybe a diesel idle-up switch, but what else? I am more interested in factory stuff than what can be retrofitted like the power inverter or modified defrost switches.

I have a 93 and including the filled CDL hole I count only 6. Also 2 that could be cut out but aren't. This is an interesting question.

Rear heat, rear aircon, rear fog lights, headlight washers, adjustable up and down headlight beams, adjustable shocks.
ive never sussed out what went in the coin holders above the heated seat switches in the centre console..

I have no locker dial and no ECT switch which also adds to my count. I'm also adding in the large round opening on the far left side, which is apparently for a hand throttle on RHD vehicles. (???)

Didn't the LX450's have an option for electronically controlled shocks? Not sure if that was 100 series only or not.

I saw a picture online of what looked like a fog light and fog light washer switch, but not sure if that was factory or not.

I've never heard of adjustable headlights in an 80 but I saw a picture of that switch.

I have rear heat but obviously no rear AC, was there a dash switch for that? I can only find pics of the rear controls.

All 24v uk 80s have hand throttle, rear fog lights, adjustable headlight beams and washers, heated seats. Adjustable shocks afaik are on jdm cruisers. Yes there is a dash switch for rear aircon.

i also have the subtank switch, so one less hole to fill...

My 97 vx limited has fog lights and headlight washer switch
I've got 1 blank lower part of dash
2 switches either side of blank are rear heater and suspension norm/sport
Also have a blank by rear view mirror adjust.
Have seen a 80 with rear view mirror defrost thinking that's the blank by mirror adjust.
Also only have coin holder by heated seat switches.

All I'm getting from this thread is that North America got shafted when it comes to the good cruisers lol.

Basically! The only fancy things we get are a sunroof that leaks and power seats that jam.

+ Power folding mirrors.....

@mct75 - to your question about LX450's w/ shock setting switch - I've never seen it on a USDM one but the JDM had a pushbutton in the under-radio blanks that I thought had a ' sideway shock absorber' icon & 3 letters under it. I don't know the exact function, maybe a Eastern owner here will chime in.

If you look in Yahoo Japan auctions you see the spares sometimes, like how tou can buy those big 3pc rear wing / wind deflectors they sell.

Possibly the Aussies got it too, total guess there.

I do recall someone saying that no 80 came with every blank filled since so many destination market 80's were different packages - there wasn't a "FULLY FULLY loaded" model.

Mine is that fabled RHD 1HDT and I have had only 3 blanks that I can see.

there's two here, one between the cigarette lighter and dash dimmer, and another round one bottom right.

here's the legendary hand throttle under the ignition.

and there was a coin holder bottom (top in pic) right of the centre console here, now one of my switches. the other rockers there replace the 2 heated seat switches (not cold enough here to need those)

I doubt that any 80'series left the factory will all the "blanks" on the dash filled in.
The 80 series was a world wide platform with many ad ons tailored to regional specs. I'm guessing the Japan domestic models, Australia and the gulf state versions got some of the best goodies.

The gauge was, but I think it has always been a dash switch to actually transfer fuel. I don't have one or anything, just seen the pictures!

I can vouch for the shock switch being on non LX jdm cruisers. It is a two position rocker that can go between soft and firm. Was never hooked up to anything on mine because shocks were already replaced but the switch is still there. It's mounted in one of the 3 slots under the hvac controls

Glad someone else has seen it - is there a 3 letter acronym under the shock icon, or have I been in the 100/200 & Tundra/Sequoias too much lately?
