Does the PWR light work on your dash when you press the switch?

I would check all your fuses but especially ECU fuse and your fusible links, especially FL AM 1.1

Hi dear. It is on all the time.I tried to clean the switch. But the light still on. I remember few weeks ago I tried to start the it won't. The 2nd light was on . One of the kids pressed the button. Then I released it . The car sterted and the light went of. But now the light won't go off the car won't start.

You should provide the model and market for your Land Cruiser. Different models and markets may be different.

Have you tried disconnecting the wire harness from the switch to see if the car will start? Maybe one of the kids spilled something in the switch and your cleaning it didn't fix the problem.

There isn't much to the circuit. If the light on the dash is on all the time then the switch is always getting power to the dash light.

For both conditions, power and 2nd, the switch is connecting directly to the ECM. If the switch isn't bad then the problem may be the ECM.

This is the diagram for a 1996 US model Land Cruiser. E 9 (highlighted) is the switch and PWR (highlighted) is the dash light.

Thanks. Yes the power switch works fine .is the fuse inside or under the hood?

Your vehicle's manual will have the location of all the fuses.

The EFI fuse in in the engine bay. On my 1996 LX450, it is on the driver's inner fender.

Here are the power circuits for the ECM, PWR and 2nd switch.

I agree with TomH, disconnect the PWR/2ND connector and see if that helps.

I did everything possible to. Now I will have to check the ECU . Is there any specific fuse to replace. ?
