Also, those Marlin inner axle seals are a bear to remove.
Finished with the tool. Soaked in mineral spirits overnight. Not all the paint was coming off, so new carb dip for an hour. That worked. Then brakleen. Finally, a hand-rubbed boiled linseed oil finish. Into a new ziploc bag then into the original box.
