One of my customers has requested I use these typres of connectors on their equipment and I'm glad they made the recommendation. I had never looked at these before but they seem like a great way of splicing over some of the other methods like wire nuts. I know they are not OEM but not everyone is a purist :).........I immediately thought @Coolerman would like these.

In my 40 no.

In my trade, YES. Wagos rock in light fixtures and wiremold raceways, not in junction boxes.

You'll get corrosion at the point of connection if they are used in a vehicle.

I believe they are listed for indoor use only.

Maybe they would work behind the dash for radio connections, etc......or other interior uses. I like the idea that they have built in test points without having to undo anything.

I'm partial to super soft crimp connectors and 'glue' filled 3x shrink wrap.

The super soft crimp connectors allow for a very strong mechanical connection.

The 'glue' filled shrink wrap locks the wires together and keeps crude out.
Can you post a link the ones you are referring to?

Egh. Stick with factory style terminal connections, Yazaki and Sumitomo make it easy to make 1 - 24 pin connections and are all available over the counter if you shop right. Plus it lasts. Not so much keeping it oem, but keeping it reliable.

We use Wago connectors in our filling machines. A few years ago I needed to put in a new window washer pump in my wife’s 80 and used a couple of them with electrical tape to seal them up. Never had an issue other than it feeling rednecked. I need to figure out proper connectors this time around to make it right.
