I want shafts without worn oil seal surfaces.

not sure are they the same as pre ebrake shafts? just checked SOR and it shows the same
I've got some in MT

other question for gurus: is if a 60 axle shaft short side is the same as a 40 short size??

Nitro sells new axles. They're listed as fitting all of these models, so I'd say yes it seems to be the same between 60 and 40.

mid to late 70's, I don't remember the exact year.

@3_puppies Can you send me length measurements and photos of the bearing and seal surfaces?

Measure diagonally from the wheel mount flange down to the end of the c-clip axle shaft.
