2003....I started the car this morning and the VSC TRAC & VSC OFF lights were on. I drove 10 minutes stopped for a while the started up again, the lights were still on, then drove about 100 miles home, no noticeable difference in performance. Got home shut it off then started it back up 10 minutes later and the lights are out....Any ideas?

I had the same thing happen to me today been searching the forums for a solution. I’ve been having intermittent problems where I’ll start the car and it dies immediately. I pulled my codes when I got to work today and I had bank 1 and 2 lean, and also mass air flow code

May have a bit of moisture on circuit board inside the white box above accelerator pedal. I had same or similar issue. I unplugged and took off box, opened it up, cleaned circuit board with vinegar, plugged it back in and all good for about three years now.

Is the check engine light on or off?

Could this cause the codes I also threw? We have been getting a lot of rain and seems like I’m getting a bit of water intrusion on the front passenger side

Not sure if that is related or not. I was not getting codes in my situation.

If your check engine light is NOT lit, check out this thread:
(Sorry, don't know how to link it, you'll have to search for it)

Fix for ABS, VSC TRAC, VSC OFF, & Brake lights remain on no CEL, or how to repair an ECU

My VSC Trac and VSC Off lights came on (2000 UZJ100) when i put it in drive the other day. A little of internet sleuthing - was the park indicator on the dashboard light tree also out. Yes it was. Pulled the dashboard cluster out - pretty easy job (see this video - ). Takes about 30 minutes from start to finish.

Moved the L bulb to the P position and the 2 bulb to the D position (new bulbs on order).

No more VSC TRAC / VSC off lights on the dash - simple fix thankfully.

Not sure I follow. How VSC/TRAC errors/lights got fixed by fixing D bulb?
Fixed by replacing the P bulb which is somehow wired into those warning lights. I haven't researched in the FSM.

I had a dirty air filter causing the engine to stumble slightly and trip the VCS Off and VSC Trac lights. Never had a check engine like. New air filter fixed the issue.

just fixed mine with replacing the P and D bulbs. I think it has to do with the P bulb or else a lot of other people would be reporting the same as the D light is out on a ton of trucks.

Those lights came on in my 2003. Ended up being a wheel speed sensor.

I had the VSC and TRAC lights on, but no CEL

I took it to Toyota and they said it could be the center diff switch and the transmission sensor

I don’t think it’s the center diff switch as it’s working fine, maybe the transmission sensor?

Just confirming your P light in the dash cluster isn't burnt out. That is what set my VSC / TRAC lights off. Replacing it fixed it immediately.

My traction control and abs actually did activate on curved freeway offramp prior to these lights turning on recently. Besides inspecting the cables for anything obvious is there any way to check which is faulty -did you just replace them all?

Once the light comes on, I believe a proper scanner or tech stream can tell you which one it is.
