Well guess what, Cruiser Parts.net sent me a 1 F head, I am F%$#@* Pissed.
They are nice people, just wish we both saw this before the frustration.
I guess I'm that good... I am Pissed at myself and Cruiser Parts. The are good people, but That was an expensive part...Now I’m a bit confused, but that’s easy for me. You installed a 1F head on a 2F and therefore have had no oil to the top end, for how many miles (at least a 1000)? And it didn’t blow up?
I dont take shi%$# from people lightly. Especially when it comes to my cars. Maybe I should have seen it, but they told me it was a 2F. Like I said, hell is coming to breakfast! They need to work with me. We'll see! Thanks mani wish you the best, but my experience with them it that they are incredibly stupid(unlikely) or out to rob people blind and dont care how they go about it.
my bet is since you have had this head for a while, and installed it, and drove it.....they are going to give you a big fat high one...no matter that they sent you the wrong part in the first place...i do hope they prove me wrong, but i'm not holding my breath.

Hope so, thanks. Only went 100 miles, not 1000, fat fingered the key board.Yep. That ain't no 2F head.
No oil hole in pedestal #4 (from front)
No raised hump going from head bolt to pedestal #4 (which is the oil passageway)
No galley plug. (leftover from drilling out that hump)
What a shame. Hope you get it sorted.
Thanks ManAh, ok. Just thought I’d mention if you needed any work done there’s a shop in Davie that specializes in head rebuilding. I plan on taking my head there one of these days. They get good reviews and are known for quick turn arounds. And best for me it's not a bad drive to avoid shipping. “Cylinder Head Depot” Hopefully you don’t need them but ya never know.
Well they are trying to work with me. They started telling me that I put the head gasket on backwards. Really??? So sent him pictures of the head that came with the truck (Clearly 3 holes on Pedestal 3 and oil flowing), and the head that they sent me, no 3 holes, He did bring up that he thinks the casting numbers on the block indicate F motor. The oil filter is clearly on the passenger side...Yep. That ain't no 2F head.

Thanks. I have a re-casted block, but has a 60032 number. No S/N though stamped in the correct location. But you can tell just by looking at it. Aghh, management needs to come from the ground up, not with a piece of paper. Nice folks but should have sent what I asked for!!!Yeah just show them the engine serial number which will start with 2F..and a 600xx casting number is an F head.
