Looking to sell entire drivetrain together if possible, but will consider selling individual components. Engine is in good running condition and can post pics and video of vehicle running here shortly. Vehicle mileage is unknown. I've put less about 5k miles on it in the last 15 years but I'm the second owner so no real knowledge of the motor history prior to 2005. Rear main seal was leaking which is why I pulled it. You can see the drivetrain has a lot of oil all over it from the leak. I will be cleaning up the drivetrain before sale.

I posted earlier that this was a 2F based on the fact that the vehicle is a 1976. I was wrong. It's an F. I've had this rig for 15 years and never bothered to check - I just drove it around and enjoyed it. Apparently the PO transplanted an older F engine when the 2f

Video here:

So - Running F Engine: $1200
4 speed Tranny: $800 (Will include the parking brake and clutch components if wanted)
Transfer Case: $800

Or take all 3 for $2500

Honestly, I've had so many interested messages in the last hour since I posted this, that I'm just going to let people give me their best offer. I've tried to compare prices on this forum and other classifieds, but honestly, it's totally all over the place. I really want to be fair. It's hard to know what's fair though - I've seen engines with thrown rods and no compression going for $1,000 or more, with completely rebuilt engines going for 8k. The tranny and transfer case seem to fetch some pretty good interest as well, but with prices all over the map. I'm open to suggestions, because I can't make heads or tails out of what is the actual market value.

Doing research and posting a price is very beneficial. Even if its high price. Not posting a price is frustrating for buyers, alot have likened the practice to dealing with eBay.

Posting pictures or videos along with engine specs/ compression etc definitely help you when selling.

I wish you the best luck in selling your setup.

Thanks for the input Kevos - I've never tried to buy or sell FJ parts before, so I don't really know what is and isn't frustrating to viewers. I am going to post pics and video shortly - I think I just got ahead of myself there.
I'll update my post to show a price here shortly as well.

That's definitely a good deal, I paid 80% of that total cost for just the F engine!

I didn’t see the rest of the string before I sent the last message. I’m not keen on blind auctions and will keep looking. Good luck.

Did you pull the motor using the egr rail and the alt tensioning arm as lift points ?
