I would definitely try to upgrade behind an LS!!! I would go with an Orion....Thank you ALL for the info. When I get a moment I will reach out to each of you. The FJ is mostly just used at events to promote our photography business and some country driving. Nothing that would qualify for OFF ROAD. It has an LS1 conversion kit installed. The current transfer case is simply stock and very.... VERY loud.

What transmission does it have in front of it? How much backlash do you have in the rear end? Not saying the transfer case isn't worn but, sloppy rear ends can and often do transfer sound through the driveshaft.Thank you ALL for the info. When I get a moment I will reach out to each of you. Not many people are dealing with Orion’s anymore, especially since you can build a split case and install the same low range gears without all the Orion issues of popping out of gear.I would definitely try to upgrade behind an LS!!! I would go with an Orion....
