I know they can be hacked since I know folks who have installed rubicon axles in regular JKs and switched the lockers directly. I also believe that some of the programmers available can bypass both the low range restriction as well as he speed restriction.Sam, I'm going to look into hacking the locker circuit to be able to lock at least the rear in 4hi. As we have discussed before the 241OR is really too low in 4lo for much of what we do. I felt that way with 4:10's. I'm sure 5:13's will really put me at a snail's pace. Would be nice to lock in 4hi for most of the ride and then drop to low range for steep stuff. I did do Dickey Bell unlocked in 4 hi once (linkage grommet spit out so no 4lo) but it struggled...a lot!
This is why I am putting a split case and cable operators on the lockers in Heather's 80. So much unnecessary wiring that can go down that provides no real use for our needs. Auto manufacturers long ago abandoned the KISS principle
