I was wheeling this 4th and blowed the front slip yoke apart and was wondering if there is any upgraded chromoly slips that anyone is running or know of.

Nope I take pretty good care of it because I do not like setting it out on the trails. I was with a bunch of other toyota guys and they were kind of amazed as well. I was kinda mad bc I had to back out and finish out the night in 2 wheel peel. I am wanting a upgraded one as to where this will not happen again.

was it fully extended when it popped ..... do you have a lift on the truck ,,, you could just need a longer slip so at full drop there is still plenty of slines still meshing ...... jusy my 2 cents

It was not at full drop it was compressed actually I was pushing my way up on a rock I did not blow out the splines I split the ears as in the picture

Now that's different.:crybaby::crybaby::crybaby: Have seen chevy and fords do that at the u joint but never a toyota lc.

To much grease did not cause it and there was not to much grease in it. I guess no one has a upgrades for this or not that I can find. I called high angle drive line and they wanted to build me some joint with adapters to a 1310 and all this junk and I told him the joint did not break that I was needing a upgraded yoke.

at full droop and the way the shackles are set up on our trucks from factory the slip yoke would be in a compressed state both for front and rear. at full stuff it would the be extending the slip yoke and making it longer....
